Dear Fellow-Soldiers,                  

As the decade rushes to a close  (my how time flies), I am thoroughly convinced, that for each of us as true believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we must and will be challenged to "endure hardness" as a good soldier for Him.

The "Whole Armor of God" (Eph. 6:10-20), is an imperative but at this interesting interval in the history of our nation and world, etc., FAITH is the priority in every aspect of living.

Here at FBC, Portageville, we are endeavoring to preach, project, and practice faith in accepting and accomplishing our ACTS 1:8  PRAYER  COVENANT. In reality this is our "Mission Statement" i.e. 'Purpose' and our gracious Heavenly Father is blessing us immensely in realizing it in depth.

Faith is our spiritual shield protecting us from the darts of the adversary. Lay this shield aside even for a moment, and disaster follows.  "Let NOT your shields go down."
